About the Melrose Racial Justice Forums

Three anti-racism organizations in Melrose – Fighting for Black Lives in Our Neighborhood, the Melrose Racial Justice Community Coalition, and Friends of Melrose METCO – hosted racial justice forums for candidates for mayor, city council, and school committee. All candidates were invited to participate. Questions were crowdsourced from the community and were provided to candidates before the forum.

The forums were recorded and uploaded to YouTube. The forum for mayoral candidates was Wednesday, August 16 at 7 pm. The forum for city council candidates was Wednesday, September 20 at 7 pm. The forum for school committee candidates was Wednesday, October 4 at 7 pm.
